Obituary

A faithful servant of God quietly departed this life the morning of Monday, July 2, 2012, at the Ouachita Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Deacon Joe Todd was born October 7, 1921 in Stephens, Arkansas. He was the youngest of two (2) children who spent his early childhood years in Stephens before moving to Camden, Arkansas.
He attended Lincoln High School where he participated in several sports.
He was united in Holy Matrimony to Alabama Jackson, and to this union four (4) sons were born. The extended family included two (2) older children.
He worked diligently to provide for his family, and was fortunate enough to travel throughout most of the United States during his truck-driving career.
He was a loyal member of Greater St. Paul Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon, attended Sunday school, was a member of the Brotherhood, and thoroughly enjoyed each and every worship service. He served faithfully until his health failed.
He leaves to cherish his memory: a devoted wife; Alabama; six (6) sons: Frankie Todd of Camden, AR; James Arthur Todd of Detroit, MI; Byron (Ann) Todd of Tallahassee, FL; Joe (Juanita) Todd, Jr. of Memphis, TN; Jimmy Rodger (Daphne) Todd of Columbus, OH and Keitron (Cheryl) Todd of Bel Air, ML; a sister, Thelma Green of Ogden, Utah; twenty (20) grandchildren and three (3) great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
