Obituary
Wallace Levingston, Jr. was born on September 18, 1948 to devoted parents: Wallace Levingston Sr. and the late Mattie Mae Levingston in Shreveport, LA. He was the firstborn of four children.
Wallace united with Mt. Calvary Baptist Church at an early age. He was a faithful member and served as an Usher and Finance Treasurer.
He was a 1966 graduate of Mayfield High School. After attending Southern University in Baton Rough, Louisiana for two years, he joined the United States Marine Corps on June 5, 1968. He retired as a master Sergeant after 22 years of loyal services. After his military life, he was employed by Horseshoe Casino and David Wade Correctional Center.
Wallace died December 6, 2013 after a sudden illness. Preceding him in death were his mother: MattieMae Levingston and sister: Virginia Levingston.
Left to cherish his loving and devoted memories are his father: Wallace Levingston, Sr.; three daughters: Alicia Levingston Shields (Jon) of Fayetteville, North Carolina; Angela Levingston of Durham, North Carolina and Mia Levingston of Homer, Louisiana; one son: Jemal Levingston of Alanta, GA;one brother: John Levingston (Gwen) of Dallas, TX; one sister: Clementine Levingston of Desoto, Texas; four grandchildren, one niece, four nephews, three great nieces, two great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends
