Obituary
Vorah Lee Cook, born March 31, 1918 to Lafayette Ferguson and Mary Hildreth Ferguson in Mt. Holly, Arkansas. She was the fourth on nine children: Fred Ferguson, Clearcus Ferguson, Elnora Ferguson, Nophalia Ferguson, Virginia Doris Ferguson, Solomon Shell, J. D. Mullins and Loretta Stone, all preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church for many, many years and served until her health began to decline.
She was a licensed beautician and owner of Cook’s Beauty Shop for over 60 years.
She married Ples T. Cook and together they reared 2 daughters, Mary Jean and Bobby Jean and 3 grandchildren.
Along with her parents and siblings she was preceded in death by one son, one daughter, Mary Jean Shepherd, one granddaughter, Elnora Morgan, one great granddaughter, Candice McGraw and one great-great grandson, Sean Morgan.
She leaves to cherish her memories, a daughter: Bobbie Jean Trotter (Robert); six grandchildren: Kenneth Morgan, Oscar Morgan (Michelle), Patricia Williams (Willie), Roderick Trotter (Christshander), Susan Ogden (Leon) and Robert Floyd Trotter; 15 great grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren, host of relatives and friends.
