OBITUARY
Vivian Denise Witt was born August 8, 1960 in Magnolia, AR to Frankie James Witt and Paulene Witt, both whom is left on earth mourning her.
Vivian departed this world and went into eternal rest on February 15, 2020 with her loving family at her bedside at Baylor Hospital in Dallas, Texas. Vivian graduated from Waldo High School in 1978. She confessed her life to Christ at an early age and at Bethel A.M.E church and Waldo, AR. Later she became a member of Agape non-denominational Church in Jackson, MS. She retired early from Hinds County Department of Corrections as a Sheriff due to her failing health.
To know Vivian is to love her. Vivian enjoyed shopping, stylish dressing, manicures, pedicures, playing Bingo, & taking selfies with her hands on her hips or chunking deuces, and she embraced all family gatherings.
Vivian was a very confident and curvy woman whom presence was always felt when she entered the room. She made sure that she looked her very best wherever she went while rocking her big beautiful curls or her beloved afro.
December 2006, Vivian met the love of her life Michael Drake, at her local convenience store for which she frequently shopped. Michael pursued Vivian for months until she finally gave in and entrusted him her whole heart. During his pursuit of her heart Vivian told, Mike “Man, you don’t want me because I am a cancer patient”. He replied, “Baby I’m going to ride this journey with you until God separates us”. Michael remained true to his word until the end. From their union, they love and adopted a teacup yorkie named Jo-Jo who is near and dear to both of their hearts. Michael and Vivian were inseparable, and their love never ceased.
Vivian was a devoted spouse, daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and much more.
