Obituary
Sarah M. Adair Kemp, age 69 of San Jose, California passed away April 14, 2012 in Houston, Texas after a lengthy illness.
She received Christ at the Beech Hill AME Church in Stephens, Arkansas where she attended the Stephens Elementary, and High School. After receiving her nursing certificate she worked in the Baptist Hospital, Little Rock, Arkansas and later moved to California where she continued her nursing career. Afterward she became self-employed with her own cleaning service. She attended the Kingdom Hall where she was a faithful and loyal witness. Sarah was a devoted housewife, mother and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents Irvin and Christeen Adair, and a sister Earvie Boyd. She is survived by her beloved husband Bennie Kemp, son Dennis Ruffin, a step-son Bennie, Jr., grandchildren; Sarah, Artianna and Christopher all of California. A brother Thomas (Esteen) Adair, sisters; Myrtle (Hurlen) Cross of Arkansas, Betty (Jimmy) Banner, Mary (Sam) Hope, Doris Smith of Ohio, Shirley (Roy) Wiggs of Georgia, Barbara (Jimmy) Johnson of Texas, in-laws; Billy ‘Barry’ Kemp, Betty, Dot, Faye and Mary of California, a God sister Ethel Jacobs of California, and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, God children, and loving friends.
