OBITUARY

Brother Roosevelt West was born to the late James and Willie Mae Henderson West on November 1, 1929 in Magnolia, AR.

He attended Mt. Calm MBC where he accepted Christ at an early age.

He served as Staff Sargent in the U.S. Army for 20 years and bravely defended our country in the Vietnam War. He returned home and attended Oil Belt and Red River Vocational Technical Schools and received certificates in Basic Auto Mechanics in 1974 and Advanced Diesel and Heavy Truck Mechanics in 1975.

Roe loved life and touched many hearts along his journey. He was an avid collector of cans and he loved to ride around in his white dodge honking his horn at everyone. He looked forward to eating breakfast every morning at his favorite restaurant, Mister James Delicious Foods.

One (1) wife preceded him in death and to that union two (2) children were born. Later in life he met and married his soulmate Jessie Mae Foster in June of 1984 and a blended family was formed.

He departed this life on October 26, 2015 at his home. He is preceded in death by his parents, one (1) brother, Clearance Otis West, one (1) sister, Vera Hudson.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Jessie Mae West, five (5) daughters: Carolyn West, Rose Marie West, Shirley (Chris) Gilliam, Mattie Webster and Alma (Chris) Davis all of Magnolia, AR. Four (4) sons: Dennis Young, Sr. of Eagan, MN; Elduran Foster, Felton Webster and Winfred Morgan all of Magnolia, AR.
Two (2) special nieces, Ann (Artree) Franklin of Inglewood, CA and Adeana Fleming of Magnolia, AR and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
