Roosevelt "Peanut" Carrington was born to late Dave and Lizzie Carrington on July 28, 1926 in Alanta, AR. Roosevelt accepted Christ as his savior at an early age.
On, Saturday, November 12, 2012 Roosevelt Carrington reaped the harvest that he had planted for many years by answering his final call to be with the Lord.
In May, 1954 he was united in holy matrimony to Margarette Jean Hall.
Roosevelt was a hard worker and worked in construction for many years. He served in the Korean War in the 1950's. He loved to fish and hunt.
He was preceded in his death by his parents, grandparents, one grandson, one sister and four brothers.
Roosevelt leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 58 years: Margarette J. Carrington of Emerson, AR; five sons: James Johnson, Terry Carrington and Ronnie (Vickie) Carrington, all of Emerson, AR; Donnie Carrington and Quindel Russel of Dallas, TX; four daughters: Gladys (Curtis) Fields, Delois (Oliver) Easter, Linda Jamerson and Demita Martin all of Emerson; a very special son: Robert (Mary Nell) Malone of Dallas, TX; thirteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
