Obituary
Robert Edwards was born in Stephens, Arkansas on June 01, 1945, proud son of the late Fern and Bessie Edwards.
Robert is preceded in death by two brothers: Charles Edwards and Albert Edwards, and one sister: Claudia Edwards.
He confessed his Christian Faith at an early age with St. James AME Church in Stephens, AR
He graduated from Carver High School in Stephens, AR and attended Southern University and A& M College in Baton Rouge, LA. He served in United States Army in Vietnam.
He was married to Barbara Edwards whom also preceded him in death.
He worked for Bechtel Corp of San Francisco for many years and then at Safeway Stores in San Francisco where he retired. He was an Excellent Gourmet Cook. He loved to travel, well read, and could hold a conversation about anything.
He leaves to cherish his memories: three sisters: Velma Kemp of Camden, AR, Vern Miles and Betty Edwards both of Stephens, AR and a host of nieces and nephews, best friends: George Moore and Dean Banks, Odie Richards, Howard Green and a special niece: Felicia Kemp.
