Obituary
Ora Lee Yang Kendrick Heard was born on July 11, 1931 in Atlanta/ Emerson, Arkansas to the late Isom and Maggie Evans Kendrick. She grew up in Atlanta/Emerson Community and graduated from McMittress High School, Yang was a star basketball player for the McMittress Ravens.
Ora was united in holy matrimony in 1951 to the late Lindsey B. Heard and to this union one (1) child was born: Marcus Heard.
Ora accepted Christ at an early age at Mt. Israel CME Church, later in life she united with Sweet Home Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas. Ora was devoted, mother, grandmother, who loved and supported her family.
Ora had many years of work experience at Aeros Pace Industries.
Ora was preceded in death by her husband, parents and seven (7) siblings.
Loving memories will forever be etched in the hearts of her beloved family; her son, Marcus Heard, the loved and apple of her eye, her grandson, Douglas Turner (Aimee); sisters: Annie Anderson (Loyd) of Fort Worth, Texas, Doshia Gatson (Floyd) of Emerson, AR, one (1) sister-in-law, Hannah Coble of Fort Worth, TX and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
