There will be no funeral service for Ms. Olatha. She will be returned to Michigan where she will be close to her sisters and interned at Detroit Memorial Park Cemetery.
Obituary
Mrs. Olatha Mosley, 87 of Magnolia, AR passed peacefully on Friday, September 20th at the Community Compassion Center in Magnolia.
Ms. Olatha as everyone affectionately call her was born May 17, 1932 in Nevada County, AR to Mattie Faye Wesley and Searcy Reed. She was proceeded in death by her parents, husband, Jessie Mosley, a sister, Mattie Hughes and a brother, Roosevelt Hughes Jr.
Ms. Olatha moved to Detroit, Michigan with her mother and sister, Virginia as a teenager. She later married the late Jessie Mosley and moved to western Michigan (Dowagiac) where she was a foster care worker for many years. She returned home to Arkansas shortly after her husband’s death in 2004.
She leaves to cherish her humor and memory 3 sisters: Virginia Brewington (Southfield, MI), Barbara J. Hughes (Rochester Hills, MI) and Ann Stovall (Cass, MI), a niece Fay Watts (Southfield, MI), nephew Ricardo Hughes (Detroit, MI) and a host of cousins and some special friends, Ms. Marva and Ms. Tammy.
