Obituary
Monroe Smith, III (aka Po Red) was born Tuesday March 5, 1935 in Lisbon, LA. to Monroe  Smith II and Leaner Johnson Smith.

His early years were spent in the Patton Town Community of Lisbon.  He confessed a belief in Christ and united with the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and was baptized at an early age.

Monroe was preceded in death by his mother, a daughter, father, step-mother, and four sisters.

At a young age Monroe's family moved to Magnolia.  He lived in Houston, Texas and Michigan for a few years, moving back to Magnolia for the last twenty years.

On Sunday, February 3, 2013, the angel of death came and bare Monroe's spirit to his eternal home.  Affectionately, he called Po Red by his friends and family with whom he loved with a passion.  He loved fast cars, fast motorcycles, and fast horses.  At the time of his death, Po Red was an active member of the South Side Riders Club and The Arkansas Trailblazers.

He leaves to cherish his memories: (1) daughter: Rebekah Smith of Magnolia, AR; (2) sons: Rickey Smith of Hayward, CA and Kenneth Smith of Dothan, AL and Craig Smith whom he raised as his own; (2) brothers: Jesse Smith and Tony Smith, both of Magnolia, AR; (3) sisters: Odell Love-Cooper and Elizabeth Smith both of Magnolia, AR and Willie Jean Riley of Ruston, LA; he loved as a daughter and grandchild: Whitney and Ranijah Moore and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
