Obituary
Lou Ella Cole-Hughey was born to Andrew and Willie Cole on February 12, 1938 in Waldo, AR. She departed this earthly life to be with her Lord on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at her residence surrounded by her family.  

Lou Ella attended Waldo School District and married her beloved sweetheart Lindsey Charles Hughey at the age of 17. They were married for 60 years and to this union six children were born. She worked for Magnolia Hospital as a Lab Assistant for 33 years retiring February 10, 2000. Lou Ella joined St. John Baptist Church at the age of eleven and became a member of God’s family when she was 48 years old. She remained faithful until she was called home.  

As an active member of St. John Baptist Church, she was the Youth Director, Sunday School Superintendent, Deaconess and very active in the Union Mission. For many years, as a community service leader, she orchestrated the holiday feeding of inmates at the Columbia County Jail in Magnolia, AR. Lou Ella was a Correspondent Writer of the Waldo Community News for the Magnolia Banner Newspaper for many years until her health prevented her from writing weekly events.  

She was preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Willie Cole, her oldest son Charles Hughey, a sister Mary Helen Ricumstrict, three brothers, Curtis, Jimmy and Andrew Cole, and a grandson, Shaderick Hughey. 

She leaves her cherished memories to her husband, Lindsey Charles Hughey, her beloved children, Annette Hughey (the late Rev. Charles Hughey) of Magnolia, AR., Curtis (Patsy), of Camden AR, Rickey (Shawna) of Magnolia, AR., Ronald (Georgia) of Burleson TX, Stephanie of Grand Prarie, TX, Doug (Connie), and Carl Wheeler (Pauline) both of Little Rock, AR. She leaves siblings, Gladys Cole of Waldo, AR, and Lenwood Cole (Sylvia) of Smackover, AR. She also leaves twenty-four grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, her adopted O’Guinn children of Village, AR, and a host of relatives and friends.
