Obituary

Lee Jewel Crockett, known as “Sleepy” was born to the late Frank and Rener Bird-Crockett on February 23, 1946.

Lee attended C.S. Woodard Public School and Walker High School in Magnolia, AR and C.S. Woodard Training School. He united with St. Paul Baptist Church of Taylor, Arkansas at an early age.

“Sleepy” worked at Tyson Food for a number of years and was a truck driver for thirty-six (36) years.

He is preceded in death by his parents and three (3) brothers: Frank Crockett, Jr. Charlie Crockett and Roy Crockett. 

He leaves to cherish his memories: Wife: Mae Bell Crockett; Children: Derrick (Trina) Radford of Magnolia, AR; Jessica (Dan) Taylor and Tony Crockett both of Anniston, AL; James (Carol) Radford of Springhill, LA; Alvin (Tange) Radford of Benton, LA; Calvin (Mitzi) Radford of Ashdown, AR; Michael (Audrey) Radford of Simsboro, LA; Peggy (Eurice) Hawthorne of Alexandria, VA and Kawaski Stewart of Garland, TX.  Brothers: L.V. (Bea) Crockett of Garland, TX; David Crockett of Wilmington, DE; Sylvestor (Helen) Crockett of Dalton, IL; Willie Scott of Springhill, LA; and Lemmon Crockett of Chicago, IL. Sisters: Dorothy Henderson and Mary Ann Crockett both of El Dorado, AR; Agnes Hardwell of Detroit, MI; Debra Crockett of Texarkana, AR;Vernal Crockett of Flint, MI and Vickie Scott of San Diego, CA; twenty-eight (28) grandchildren, nine(9) great grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
