Obituary
Mrs. Juanita Burris was born on March 12, 1936, to the late Taylor and Ophelia Todd. She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age at Beech Hill AME Church in Stephens, AR.
The Lord called Momma home on January 13, 2017.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister: Delois Todd, brothers: Chester Todd, Alvin Todd, James Todd, and Herman Todd, and son: L.W Burris.
My Mother never met a stranger and loved to be around people. She had a rather quite voice and spoke slowly. Supporting her church was highly important.
Working at a food processing plant in Whitehall, Michigan, was her first job. After moving back to Magnolia, she worked as a cook at Southern Arkansas University. Later she worked at Magnolia Regional Hospital until retirement.
Mother loved gardening; sharing the vegetables and fruits was her passion. Some of her jellies and other preserves I still have, and will keep.
She leaves to cherish her memories: husband of 60 years, Mr. Louis (LH) Burris, children: Billy J. Burris (Elizabeth), Margaret Browning (Zim), James Burris, Robert Dawson, Floyd Dawson and Loletha Christopher, two sisters: Alabama Todd and Ura Dale Ward and four brothers: Early Todd, Joe (Virginia) Todd, Jerry Todd and Robert Todd (Delois). Her grandchildren will miss her as well as her many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
