         Obituary
      Sis. Jessie Mae Mixon was born October 17, 1922 in Willisville, Arkansas to Lawson and Arentha Gulley, the fourth sibling of eight children. She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Joe Lewis Burn; three sisters; Thelma Gulley, Arlene Reed and Hattie Bell Trotter. 
  She married Jesse Mixon in 1935, one child David Mixon and one-step son, Hurtis Hadley Mixon came from this union.
  Sis Mixon was a homemaker, and she loved quilting, fishing and cooking. At an early age she began attending Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She was a member of the usher board and the choir, where she served faithfully until her health started failing.
  Those left to honor her memory include her son, David (Ruthie) Mixon, three sisters; Georgia Mullins, Kansas City, KS, Mary Lee Bradford, Texarkana, AR, Rosie (Bernard) Arnold, Garland, AR, one brother; Troy Lee Gulley, Garland, AR, three grandchildren Sharon Harris, Sonja & Earnest Grayson, Taiwan & Kim Mixon, ten great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She also leaves many nieces, nephews and so many special friends.
