Obituary
Brother James Earl Thomas was born June 25, 1949 to the late Cola Thomas and Matha Lee Alexander.
He was a member of St. Matthew Baptist Church where he served on the usher board in his youth.
Brother Thomas graduated from Southside High School in McNeil in 1967. He joined the U.S. Army on April 23, 1969 and fought in the Vietnam War. He held various jobs in his lifetime which included: JE Merit and Fowler Trucking among others.
J.T. was well liked in the community and affectionately called "neighbor" by hiss many friends. He was a friend to everyone and will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved him.
He departed this life on Friday, September 23, 2011 in his home.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother Matha Lee Curry of Magnolia, AR, one son, Ricardo Thomas; two brothers: Alvin Thomas and Thomas Haley of Liberty, Texas; one sister: Diane Thomas of Kansas City; four stepchildren: Diane Griffin and Rodney Henderson of California; Terray and Terrell Hardin of McNeil, AR; two grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. He also leaves a very special friend, Nickie Johnson of the home.
