Life Epitome


Brother J.C. Alexander to the proud parents of Emmett and Jossie Jamerson Alexander, in Magnolia, Arkansas on October 10, 1926. He departed this life March 27, 2014 at John Williamsons Hospice House in El Dorado, Arkansas. 
He united with the St. John AME Church (now Unity AME) at an early age.
He attended Free Hope Jr. High School and graduated in the Free Hope Community. J.C. served his country in the Korean War from 1950 until 1959, where he earned the rank of Sergeant. In 1968 he was united in holy matrimony with Glenda Ruth George. They shared an eternal loving life for 45 years until his demise. He was a member of the Talley Lodge #177 and retired from Alumax after 25 years of service.
J.C. was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, A.C. Alexander, one nephew, and one sister-in-law.
He is survived by his wife, Glenda Alexander; children, Jimmy (Avis) Wyrick of Woodbridge, VA, Gail (Gerry) Clark of Desoto, TX; grandchildren, Jimmy Oliver (Leena) Wyrick, Gerry Clark II, Brittney Wyrick, and Travis Offord; great-grandchildren, Jimmy Ray Alexander, Dominique Wyrick and Gerry Clark III. Brother, Earnest (Sue) Alexander of Magnolia, AR, mother-in-law, Allie George; sister-in-law, Ruth (Dexter) Payne and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends.
