Sister Ira Lee was born on April 22, 1932, to Ira Wafer and Carrie Jackson Wafer. She attended and graduated from Walker High School.
Ira married Leon Terry Malone who preceded her in death. To this union four children were born. She later married Walter Parham who also preceded her in death.
Ira joined King Hill A.M.E. Church at an early age and served as Choir President, Treasurer and other positions until her health declined. Sister Malone was known as "THE SINGING LADY". She loved to sing and play BINGO. Sister Ira was in several singing groups throughout her lifetime. Sister Malone was preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Carrie Wafer, one sister, Katherine Wafer; three brothers, Mitchell B. Wafer, Malvin Wafer, Alfred Wafer; one grandson: Kenneth Malone; and one great-grandson, Xavier Frazier.
Ira leaves to cherish her memory, three daughters Vira Ford (John), Vickey Loundermill, and Carolyn Traylor of Magnolia, AR. Three sons: Randolph Malone (Minnie) of Waldo, AR, Terry Malone and Charles Traylor of Magnolia, AR. Two sisters: Elouise Henderson of Magnolia, AR and Hattie Hall (William) of Milwaukee, WI. One brother: Johnnie Wafer of Milwaukee, WI; one sister-in-law: Stella Sharp. Eight grandchildren: Mellissa, Chris, Melinda, Carolyn Ann, Rell, Dorothy, Sophie, and Stahja. Five great-grandchildren: Kristian, DaQuan, Trey, Damien, and Marquise. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
