Obituary
Ever J. Taylor was born on January 13, 1921 in Emerson, Arkansas, to the parentage of Lizzie Caldwell-Fergerson and Gus Fergerson. She was the second of nine children born to this union.
Ever J. (Little Mother/ J Baby) received Christ at an early age. She was a member of Kirkwood Missionary Baptist Church for many years and later fellowshipped at Jesus The Way of Life , under the Pastorate of Pastor Wilma Curry until her health failed.
Ever J. was a graduate of McMitress High School in Emerson, Arkansas and Philander Smith College in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Her chosen career was education and she taught in the State of Arkansas School District and The Dallas Independence School District. Later, she ventured into the healthcare system, where she worked as a nurse at St. Paul Hospital in Dallas, TX until retirement.
Ever J. united in holy matrimony to Amos Taylor in Columbia County, Arkansas. To this union was born Arthur Jefferson Taylor (Sugar Ray) and from previous marriages, her first born son was Walter Ralph Bynum and Amos Taylor, Jr.
Ever J. touched many lives on her journey and was a devoted wife who cherished her husband and loved her family.
Ever J. was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband: Amos Taylor; a sister: Nona Mae French; two brothers: Gus Fergerson, Jr and Oliver Fergerson; two sons: Arthur Jefferson Taylor (Sugar Ray) and Walter Ralph Bynum.
She leaves to cherish her memory: a son: Amos (Patsy) Taylor, Jr. of Dallas, TX; four brothers: Emmitt Fergerson and Willie T. Fergerson of Detriot, MI; Timothy (Sylvia) Fergerson of Southfield, MI; Leon (Jackie) Fergerson of Rochester Hills, MI; seven grandchildren: Ronald (Angela) Bynum, Darrell Fergerson, Nesia Woodward, Malcolm Deshann (Catrenia) Taylor, Patrick (Tomeka) Taylor, Tonya Brown and Shirley Bynum; fifteen great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
