OBITUARY

Evelyn Dean Jones was born to Mr. Arthur Lee and Mrs. Dorothy Wright on June 21, 1951 in Magnolia, Arkansas.

She departed this life on May 18, 2013 at Christus St. Michael Hospital in Texarkana, Texas.

Evelyn attended school at Columbia High School in Magnolia, Arkansas. She was a wonderful person with a huge heart and was an excellent cook. She never met a stranger, her door and arms were always open to those in need. She had a passion for life and loved her grandchildren. “Granny” always had something for everyone. She has left a void that can never be filled. She was greatly loved and will be dearly missed.  

Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents; two children: Tamika Robins and MacArthur Junior Smith and one brother: Robert Green.

She leaves to cherish her memories: husband: James T. Jones; two daughters: April (Gary) Greene and Glenda (Opheline) Moore; two sons: James A.D. (LaWanda) Jones and Travis (Shay) Jones; twenty grandchildren; four sisters: Caretha Runyan, Dorothy L. Wright, Betty Sims and Gladis Madison; one brother: Jimmy Henderson; five aunts and three uncles and a very special friend: Queen Ester Weaver and her nephews and nieces she raised. 
“Moma” “Evelyn” “Granny” “Duke” “Ebba Dean”, we love you and you will forever be in our hearts. We know you are smiling down on us.
