Obituary

Earline Rebbie Clacks was born on September 21, 1920 to the late Jimmy Logan and the late Lucille Cheatham Logan.  She was the eldest sibling to the late Alburnie "Hun" Logan Orange and the late Eugene "Baby Boy" Logan.  Her family nickname is "Sweet".  This name fits her to the tee because she had a loving, kind, humble and 'Sweet" personality towards everyone.  Sweet's 91 year long journey ended peacefully on December 16, 2011.

She was born in the Gordon Community of Haynesville, LA.  She attended Claiborne Parish School systems and continued her education in Crossett, Arkansas.  On February 22, 1945, she married Eddie Clacks, he preceded her in death August 24, 1966.  By profession, she was a traveling nurse, which allowed her to live and work in Kentucky, Chicago, Ill, Arkansas and Massachusetts.

She accepted Christ at an early age and was totally committed to the work of the Lord through her ministry of song in various choirs.  While living in Arkansas, she was an active member of First Baptist Church (Crossett) and Greater St. Paul Baptist Church (Hot Springs).  She was a part of the local yet popular gospel singing group called the Cableton Quartet.  She moved back to Haynesville in 1985 and was an active member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.  She moved to Humble, TX with her niece, Shelia, in October 1999 where she lived until her transition to eternal life.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories: two nieces - Earlene Logan Day (James), Shelia Montgomery-Grant, two great nieces: Tanasha Montgomery and Tenesha Hill (Elijah);  One great nephew: James E. Day; three great-grand nephews: Ayden Montgomery, Ashton Hill and Karson Montgomery; one great-grand niece: Jaiya Day and a host of loving relatives and friends.
