Obituary

Sister Earlene “Beddie” Creer was born in Mt. Holly, Arkansas to Samuel J. Adams and Mary L. O’Guinn Adams, March 10, 1933. She peacefully departed this life Sunday, May 3, 2020 in her home surrounded by her loving family.

Beddie attended and graduated from New Hope High School on April 27, 1951. She accepted Christ at an early age and united with the New Hope Baptist Church at an early age and worked diligently in the church. She united with St. John Missionary Baptist Church in 1997 under the leadership of Pastor Barry Dobson, where she was a faithful member until her health began to fail.
On January 13, 1964, Earlene united in holy matrimony to the late Jessie Creer. Together they raised three sons. They had one son to precede them both in death.

Beddie, as she was affectionately called by those who knew her best and loved her most, was the baby of five children. Family was always important to her. She enjoyed traveling and visiting her family members as she raised her children. Later in life, she enjoyed traveling with her children and family to see all the sights! While at home, Beddie was blessed to be a nurturer. She had a hand in raising her nieces and nephews and she took great pride in helping to raise her grandchildren! They all enjoyed their own special dishes that only she could perfect and a bond that included her words of wisdom. Time in her home included early mornings, plenty of good food and an abundance of love. Her favorite scripture was John 3:16 and her favorite book was “Heaven: Close Encounters of the God Kind” by Jessie Duplantis. If you were blessed to visit her, there were conversations of heaven and what Jesus did for us at the cross! There was also the assurance that you would watch one of her favorite preachers, Bishop G. E. Patterson! Befittingly enough, one of his sermons was played by her bedside as she transitioned. He preached her on HOME!

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jessie; her sons Donell Dewayne Creer and Michael Glen Parker, her grandson Brian O. Davis, her sisters Georgia B. Lewis and Ora L. Hildreth and her brother Phillip H. Adams. She leaves to cherish her memories; her sons Marvin D. (Beverly) Parker of Plano, Texas; Bobby D. (Veronica) Creer of El Dorado, AR; four grandsons, Bobby D. Creer, Jr., Spencer D. Bates, Mario D. Parker & Jeremy R. Creer; two granddaughters, LaShae Parker and VaShaylia B. Creer; two great grandsons, Jhavon I. Creer and Jermaine Bates; two great granddaughters, Maliyah B. Parker and Skylar B. Creer; one loving sister, Velonia Palmer of Flint, MI; a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.
