Dossie Lee Ward Williams was born June 25, 1932 in Emerson, AR to Gussie Greer and Frank Ward, both whom proceeded her in death.  

On September 11, 1948, Dossie married the love of her life Adell Williams who preceded her in death. Their loving marriage of 47 years produced eleven children, ten girls and one son. Dossie departed this world and went into an eternal rest on March 11, 2018 with her loving family at her bedside. Dossie attended school at New Hope in Emerson, AR. She confessed her life at an early age and united with New Hope Baptist Church, where she attended and serve faithfully on the Usher Board. Later, she became a member of Sweet Home Baptist Church where she attended and served faithfully until her health failed. She chose an early retirement from Emerson School District as Lead Custodian to take care of her mother. To know Dossie was to love her. She enjoyed fishing, shopping and especially family gatherings. Dossie was a devoted mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and Big Mama.  

Dossie was also preceded in death by daughter, Shirley James, and her grandson Marcus Ross and granddaughter Jessica LaDossie Hutchinson. Brothers: Preston Ward, Tyree Ward, Frank Ward, Levi Ward and Joseph Ward. Sisters: Dosia McFadden, Kastena Ward, Mary Ella Harvey and Gussie Lee Hatter.

 She leaves behind to cherish her memories her children: Rosie Manning of Magnolia, Mildred Porchia of Austin, TX, Avance Williams (Darlene) of Texarkana, TX, Diane Ross (Paul) of Magnolia,, AR Linda Brock (Bobby) of Emerson, AR, Teresa Sharp of Texarkana AR, Sandra Hatter (Dennis) of Houston, TX, Patricia Griffin (Dwain) of Little Rock, AR, Lytonia Sharp (Antoine) of Atoka, TN, Pamela Hill (Terry) of Arlington, TX, Sister: Marrine Ward ofMagnolia, AR. She also leaves to cherish 27 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
