       Obituary
Sister Dorothy Jean Lee was born on May 25, 1940 to the late Walter and Aggie Smith Lee. She was the youngest of nine children, who have all preceded her in death: Ruthie Lee, Earl T. Lee, Velma Lee Davis, Elisha Lee, Richard Lee, John Lee, Mary Helen Lee Johnson, and Bill Lee.

At an early age she united with New Bethel A.M.E Church, Waldo Arkansas, when she served faithfully until her health failed. She served as a member of the Missionary Society, stewardess board, and in her younger days, served as YPO youth director and choir member.

She was united in marriage to Bobby Curry. They were blessed with four daughters. Two of which preceded her in death: Angela and Nikki Curry.

She graduated from Waldo Westside School in 1959, where she was remembered by many as being a great basketball player. After graduation she immediately began working for Shan house for more than 20 years. She was later employed with Roy’s Leather Good’s, Buffalos Leather Good’s, and Southwest Arkansas Development Council.

Dorothy spent her life working hard and raising her family to be hard working, respectable Christians. Everyone who knew her know that she loved her family, and loved her flowers. She leaves to cherish her memories and to celebrate her life: Two daughters, Lynsandra Curry of Waldo AR, and Ruthie White of North Little Rock, AR. Six grandchildren: Rachel White, Angeneda (Nikki) Curry, Briana Curry, Daniel White, Courtney Curry, and Jeremiah Curry.

She was a devoted Aunt to many nieces and nephews, three of which were as close as siblings: Deloris J. King, Walter (Bully) Rodgers, and Billie J. Suber. She had a heart full of love that she generously shared with many other relatives, close friends, and former co– workers.
