Mother Clyde O’Guinn was born September 5, 1923 in Mt. Holly, Arkansas to Mary and George Elliott.
On Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at 9:30 am, she departed this life at Northern Louisiana Medical Center in Ruston, Louisiana.
At an early age she accepted Christ as her Savior and joined the Friendship Baptist Church. She united in marriage to the late Earnest O’Guinn, Sr. at this time she became a member of the New Hope Baptist Church, where she served until her death.
She graduated from Friendship School at the top of her class. She was a hard working, strong, family oriented person.
Her husband, Earnest O’Guinn, Sr., her parents, George and Mary Elliott, a brother, Lewis Elliott, a daughter, Wordie B. Boone and a son, Curtis James O’Guinn and three grandchildren preceded Mother Clyde O’Guinn in death.
She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Earnest O’Guinn, Jr., three daughters, Nettie Morgan of Colorado Springs, CO, Georgia (Mat) Steward, El Dorado, AR, Delorise Box, El Dorado, AR, 16 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 8 great- great grandchildren.
