Life's Reflection
On October 5, 1954 in Camden, Arkansas (AR), Clifton and Lillie Mae (Jackson) Jones gave birth to their son, Clifton Edward Jones. Clifton (CJ) departed this life on April 13, 2019 at Memorial Hospital Central in Colorado Springs, CO. Clifton accepted Christ at a young age and in his late forties was baptized at Trinity Baptist Church in Colorado Springs, CO under the leadership of Pastor Jim Dotson.
Clifton (CJ) was a 1974 graduate of Stephens High School in Stephens, AR. During his early years he was known as Shane. He moved to Troy, OH with his brother Earnest and returned to Stephens, AR shortly afterward. July 7, 1974, Clifton joined the Air Force and married Syndra Thomas on September 27, 1974. The couple had 3 daughters during their 25-year marriage. Clifton (CJ) retired from the Air Force July 31, 1994 after serving 20 years. The joy of his life was spending time with his family and his grandchildren.
In 1998, CJ started his own business, Colorado Springs Heating and Cooling Solutions, which he owned and operated until his death.
On December 31, 2003 in Stephens, AR, CJ married Carolyn E. Morey of Tulsa, OK.
CJ was preceded in death by his father Clifton Jones, his mother Lillie Mae Jones, 3 brothers Earnest, Jerry and Jorell Jones, and 2 granddaughters, Maurtica Britt and Anatasia (Weezy) Icenogle.
Left to cherish the memories of Clifton (CJ) are: his loving wife and companion Carolyn E. Jones of Colorado Springs, CO; 3 daughters Kendra (Derrick) Randerson; Jasmine (Larry) Edwards; and Zaneta (Kevin Ace) Nelson; all of Colorado Springs, CO; 1 stepson Timothy (Tawyna) Bowie of Greeley, CO and 1 stepdaughter Theresa (Christopher Lewis) Britt-Lewis of Kansas City, KS; 3 brothers Calvin (Vicki Royster) Jones; Burnis (Arlene) Jones; and Kenneth Jones; all of Stephens, AR; 2 sisters JoAnn (Howard) Green of Stephens, AR; and Diane (Julian) Romero of Abilene, TX; 1 sister-in-law Doris Jones of Stephens, AR; 16 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
