    Obituary
Carey Anthony Robinson was born August 2, 1961 to the late Margaret Robinson and the late Amos Gantt.  His life, as well as his wife's and daughter's lives, ended simultaneously on April 22, 2011.

He became a member of the Bethany Baptist Church at an early age.  He was a 1979 graduate of the McNeil High School in McNeil, Arkansas.  Carey was a star basketball player.  During his high school years, the McNeil Eagles won two State Championships.  After graduation, he moved away from his mother's house and began his duties as a man.  He soon joined the Army National Guard and received an honorable discharge.

In October 1980, Carey and Shirley Smith were united in holy matrimony and remained married until death.  Two children, Terrence and Myisha, were born to this union. 

Carey is preceded in death by grandparents George (Jack) and Mattie Pearl Robinson and William Sr. and Agnes Gantt, and many uncles, aunts, and cousins.

He leaves to cherish his memories: Two (2) sons: McKenzie McKinney of Fargo, ND and Terrence Robinson of Stephens, AR; one (1) stepson: Shaunte Smith of Pine Bluff, AR; Two (2) brothers: Paul Willis of Detroit, MI and Amos (Shawn) Gantt, Jr. of Carrollton, TX;  three (3) sisters: Carolyn Gantt of Magnolia, AR; Gloria (Artree) Criner of Duncanville, TX;  Lisa (Raymond) Walker of Mt. Holly, AR;  five (5) grandchildren: JaQualin Young, Ja'Mari Young Amar'kis McKinney, Ta'Nijia Robinson, and Mariah Robinson;  three (3) step-granchildren;  Savaun Smith;  Rashad and JaShaun Hartsfield; five (5) aunts;  Rev. Mary McGraw Jones of Magnolia, AR; Dr. Carrie (James) Holloway of Detroit, MI;  Reba Witt of Cleveland, OH;  Mae Johnson of Dayton, OH; Mae Agnes Lockhart of McNeil, AR; two uncles; Joe T. Robinson of Detroit, MI and William Gantt, Jr. of Cleveland, OH; and a host of nieces, nephews,, relatives and friends.
