Obituary
Bettye D. Moore Thompson was born March 1, 1948, in Lisbon, Arkansas, to the late Ozzie and Phyllis Johnson Moore.
Bettye confessed her faith in Christ at an early age when she joined the Beech Hill Baptist Church in Mt. Holly, Arkansas. She relocated to Elyria, Ohio and then to Kansas City, Missouri (she was a traveler.) Sometime later, she moved to Milwaukee, WI, and finally made her way back to El Dorado, AR. After returning home, Bettye united with the St. John Missionary Baptist Church where she faithfully remained until her death.
Bettye made her heavenly trip home to be with The Lord on the evening of August 11. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Willie Ray Thompson; one brother, Elsino Johnson; two sisters, Carrine Frazier and Louise Wright.
She leaves to cherish her memories; two brothers, James L. Johnson, El Dorado, AR, Marvin Johnson, Lorain, Ohio; three sisters, Vivian Patillo, Lubrum, GA, Dorothy Sheinal, Washington D.C., LaCornya Moore, El Dorado, AR; one aunt, Fannie Emerson, Milwaukee, WI, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
