Betty Jean Banks Greene, was born on May 25, 1953, to Theo and Alberta Finley Banks in McNeil, Arkansas. She was the youngest of three beautiful daughters who united early with St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church.
Betty received her high school diploma from the McNeil Public School District. Her Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Technology was awarded by the College of the Ozarks in Point Lookout, Missouri. She later acquired her Master’s Degree in the field of Industrial Management from the University of Phoenix.
Most recently, she worked for College Network and traveled the State to recruit Licensed Practical Nurses willing to seek a Registered Nurses degree. Her employer and co-workers regarded her as an excellent employee and serious worker.
Betty married Benny Greene; their only child, Corey, preceded his mother in death. Still, Betty loved family. She enjoyed family gatherings, travel, and was an avid shopper. She was sweet and kind, a beautiful person who quietly did things her way.
Betty was also preceded in death by her beloved sister, Velma R. Banks. She leaves to mourn her passing, Shirley Dismuke, her sister in Detroit, Michigan; one niece, Tene´ Dismuke; two nephews, Brandon Banks and Jevon Dismuke; two great-nieces; and a host of cousins, co-workers, and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her.
