Obituary
A Time to be born: Brother Arthur Lee Rone was born December 28, 1928 to the Late Tim and Alberta Rone in (Doss Town) Emerson, Arkansas. He departed this life March 25, 2011 at the Magnolia Regional Medical Center in Magnolia, Arkansas.
A Time to Change: Brother Rone united with Glover Memorial Church of God in Christ in Emerson, Arkansas under the leadership of Superintendent Larry Ferguson. He served faithful until his health failed.
A Time to Love: On April 27, 1958 he united in marriage to Richie Lee Maxey. He was faithful and loving to her all through her illness, until her death April 3, 1985. To this union six (6) children were born.
A Time to Work: At an early age Brother Rone went to work in the pulpwood. He owned AL Rone Logging. His work started early in the morning and working until dark. He worked hard; cut the trees, loaded the truck, then drove the wood to the mill, then back to the woods for another load, making at least two loads a day, with another cut ready for the next day. He did this daily along side of his wife, Richie. After working in the woods, he would go home, plowed the fields, feed the livestock, and anything else needed. He was the man who believes hard work pays off. After his wife’s death, he becomes father and mother. He raised his children to work and enjoy life.
A Time to Laugh: Arthur Lee also had a story to tell. Making you laugh at all things. His last days of his life, he kept us laughing. He could find humor in anything. He brought the fad of wearing his cap sideways years ago. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
A Time to Die: Preceding him in death: his wife, parents, five (5) sisters: Jesse Johnson, Annie Aubrey, Corine Jones, Louise Critton and Ollie Hardwell; three (3) brothers: Cornell Rone, Lonzell Rone and Howard Johnson.
A Time for Goodbye: On Friday, March 25, 2011 our creator called home his beloved son, Arthur Lee from Magnolia Regional Medical Center in Magnolia, Arkansas.
He leaves his cherished memories of love: Three (3) daughters: Verita Rone of Bosier City, LA, Portia (Robert) Jones and Doeleta (Wallace) Weaver of Emerson, AR; three (3) sons: Randy Rone and Danny Rone of Emerson, AR and Michael Rone of Magnolia, AR; Three (3) sisters Christine Easter and Willie Lee Smith of Emerson, AR and Gracie Hardin of Magnolia, AR; One (1) brother: Donell Rone of Magnolia, AR; one (1) aunt: Armer Lee Taylor of Flint, MI; twenty-two (22) grandchildren, twelve (12) great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin and friends.
