Obituary

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith
  II Timothy 4:7

Sister Austene (Tina) Rose Dockery was born January 31, 1935 to the late Ned Rose and Plina Jamerson Rose in the Freehope Community, Magnolia, AR. She departed life on November 18, 2012 at Magnolia Regional Medical Center.

She received her education at Freehope Community and Magnolia Schools. She was an excellent cook and excelled in preparing food as her occupation as well as the many guests she served in her home. She was employed by Magnolia Public School (Eastside), Central Baptist Church and a long time employee that became a dear friend, Mr. Archie Monroe.
She united with Christ at an early age at Freehope A.M.E. Church. At the time of her illness she was a faithful member of the Bethany Baptist Church. Austene was a servant and believed in sharing her spiritual gifts of communicating with whomever she met. No one was a stranger to her and she would devour the word of God in her conservations. She faithfully worked in the Columbia District Association with the Mission Department and demonstrated her love for young people as youth director for many years. She was known for her “sense of humor” and “telling like she thought it was”.

She married Anderson Dockery on July 25, 1960; she leaves to mourn four children.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband: Anderson Dockery of the home for 52 years; two sons: Jimmy Revels of Los Angeles, CA; Roy Green of Phoenix, AZ; two daughters: Marie and Elena Dockery both of Magnolia, AR; two sisters: Lizzie Mae Lewis of Denver, CO and Lizzie Lee Cravin of Los Angeles, CA; one brother: Jessie Lee Rose of Magnolia, AR; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
