         Obituary


On May 08, 2018, Arnesie Thompson was called home to be with the Lord. At the time of her death she was living in Atlanta, Georgia with her daughter, Ineta Abbott Griffin.
Arnesie was born in Magnolia, Arkansas on December 20, 1392 to Verna Dread and Mike Lowe. 


She joined the New Zion Missionary Baptist Church Anniversary and Homecoming every year.

She was the proud owner of a local business in Magnolia, Arkansas Thompson Beauty Salon, for many years. She never met a stranger.

Arnesie was married to the late Rev. Harvey Charles Abbott. To this union two children were born. She later married the late Frank Thompson. 


She was also preceded in death by her parents: siblings; two grandchildren: Charles and Nikia.

She leaves to cherish fond memories and love: a daughter: Ineta Abbott Griffin; a son: Melvin Charles Abbott (Dina); a step-daughter: Mae Frances Thompson; a brother: Clifton Ray Gantt (Rene); three sisters: Jeweline Biddle, Doris Brown and Dorothy Lowe; eight grandchildren: Sean (Ruby), Kamilah (Tony), Ralph, Janine, Wayne, Charles Jr., Jabri, and Orlando; thirty-eight great grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other loved ones.
