Mrs. Ardie Berry Houston will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother who left a legacy of self-determination, spiritual faithfulness and Christian hospitality.

Born October 27, 1929 to the late Lint and Alvia “Lovie” Elliott Williams, she was the sixth of ten children, six of which preceded her in death.

Ardie united in marriage with Olden Berry, Sr. and to this union five children were born. Olden Berry, Jr. preceded her in death.

Mrs. Berry Houston graduated from Manual Arts High School, Los Angeles, CA and received her nursing certification from Associated Technical College of Los Angeles. She retired from the University of California at Los Angeles after 20 years of dedicated professional service. She devoted 25 joyful years as a Sunday school teacher at Figueroa Church of Christ in Los Angeles, CA. 

Mrs. Berry Houston leaves to cherish her memory: Two daughters: Thelma Martin-Still of Riverside, CA and Vacie Thomas of Inglewood, CA; two sons: William “Honey” Berry of Waldo, AR and Billy (Vickie) Berry of Texarkana, TX. Two sisters: Connie (Ernest) Maloney of Dallas, TX and Mary Helen (Jimmy) Smith of Waldo, AR. One brother: Errie C. (Lou Ester) Williams of Waldo, AR; sixteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
