Obituary


Allie M. Jones was born February 4, 1946 to A.J. Jones and Lavernice “Woods” Jackson in Emerson, Arkansas.

Allie was a member of the Pleasant Homes CME Church. She worked many years as a Housekeeper. Allie was a woman that was loved by everyone, everywhere she went for those who knew her was touched by her kindness and honesty, never sugar coating anything. She was giving person, rather it was giving advice or something that she had gotten for you. Allie enjoyed fishing, talking, playing card games, writing, doing crossword puzzles, Fill-in Books and she didn’t mind cooking for anybody when she felt up to it.
Allie was proceded in death by her parents, Lavernice “Woods” Jackson and AJ Jones, two (2) daughters, Jaqualine Kennedy and Mary Calhoun and a son, Lloyd Calhoun. Two (2) sisters, Opal Jones and Linda (Jones) Robinson and a brother Calvin “Billy Boy” Greer.

She leaves to morn, one (1) son: Floyd D. Calhoun II, one (1) daughter: Teletha Newkirk (William) and six (6) siblings, A.J. “Buck” Jones, Barnie Jones, Melva May, Diana Redding, Carl Fleming, James “Tanker” Jones, fifteen (15) grandchildren and nineteen (19) great grandchildren, one (1) great-great grandson and host of nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.
